L'Aquàrium de Barcelona is ideal for a family outing. It features over 11,000 animals from more than 450 species and an 80-metre (260-foot) long transparent underwater tunnel that provides a view of marine life in the Mediterranean Sea. The aquarium contains 5 million litres of water (1.3 million US gallons) and is home to species including bream, moray eels, moonfish, bull sharks, and sandbar sharks.

Explore 14 distinct marine life spaces in the Mediterranean aquariums, admire vibrant fish and corals in the tropical aquariums, and see recreations of protected Spanish coastal areas like the Ebro Delta and Medes Islands. Themed aquariums offer details on underwater flora and fauna. Conclude your visit in the tropical river area, which includes children's activities and permanent shellfish and mollusc exhibitions.

Opening Times

Barcelona Aquarium is open at the following times:

From March 29 to June 30: open daily from 10 am to 8 pmFrom July 1 to September 7: open daily from 10 am to 9 pmFrom September 8 to November 2: open daily from 10 am to 8 pm

Final admission is an hour before closing.

Christmas schedule: from December 21 to January 8, the aquarium will close at 8 pm (final admission at 7 pm).
