Alberobello + Matera Self Guided Tour

  • 10 - 11 Stunden

Alberobello in Apulia and Matera in Basilicata offer unique experiences in southern Italy. This self-guided tour allows you to explore their charm.

Tour Details

The tour begins with pickup at Bari's Chamber of Commerce. We will travel by minibus through the landscapes of Apulia, reaching Alberobello in one hour, where you will have 3 hours of free time to visit the iconic trulli, recognized as a World Heritage Site since 1996.

Key attractions in Alberobello include the Siamesi and Sovrano trulli, and the neighborhoods of Rione Aia Piccola and Rione dei Monti. Other notable sites are the church of San Antonio di Padua and the Basilica of San Cosimo and San Damiano.

After your time in Alberobello, we'll reconvene to depart for Basilicata. At 1:30 pm, we'll arrive in Matera, a town named the European Capital of Culture in 2019.

You’ll have 4 hours free to enjoy lunch and explore the famous Sassi of Matera, historical cave houses. Some scenes from No Time to Die were filmed here, allowing you to walk the same streets as James Bond.

We will return to the meeting point, completing the tour 10-11 hours after pickup.
