Bari & Polignano a Mare Private Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet at Piazza Federico II di Svevia to begin our tour of Bari.
Bari is known for preserving the relics of St. Nicholas of Myra. Following a brief introduction, we'll walk to the 12th-century Basilica of St. Nicholas, where interesting facts will be shared.
Next, we'll proceed to the Bari Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Sabinus, a notable example of Romanesque architecture. The tour will continue to the Castello Svevo, built in the 12th century by Roger the Norman. We will conclude the Bari segment with a visit to Piazza Mercantile and the Column of Justice, with insights about its significance.
After exploring Bari, we'll travel to Polignano a Mare. Here, we'll visit the historic center, characterized by ancient mansions, small squares, and winding streets. Amazing views of the Adriatic Sea from the cliffs will be highlighted, as well as the statue of singer Domenico Modugno, ideal for a souvenir photo.
The tour duration is five hours, after which we will return to the starting point in Bari.
