Day Trip Details

Meet at Teatro Petruzzelli for a journey to Matera. After a 1-hour car ride, we will arrive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, now a popular tourist destination. We will begin with panoramic views from a lookout point.

Next, we'll visit the workshop of Amaro Lucano and its "Matera in Miniature" exhibition, providing insight into the history of this town in the Basilicata region. Following that, we will explore a cave house, a key attraction highlighting the old town's rock-carved structures.

We'll conclude our tour at the fruit and vegetable market, where you can taste renowned truffles and enjoy local cuisine. After this, you will have free time to further explore Matera and have lunch at a local restaurant.

After approximately 6 hours, we will return to Bari and drop you off at the meeting point.
