Barichara Guided Tour

Our guided tour of Barichara highlights the Cathedral, Salto del Mico, the Santa Barbara church, and the city's traditional streets. We will explore the historic district, uncovering its rich history during our walk.

Description

At your chosen time, we will meet at the main park in Barichara to begin the walking tour, exploring the town's iconic spots.

The journey starts along Calle Real, with a stop at a traditional sweets shop. Next, we will visit the Santa Barbara church, the town's first chapel.

Continuing to the higher part of Barichara, we will take in a panoramic view of the historic center, including the dome of the Cathedral. We will discuss the 18th-century history of this important temple.

The tour includes a visit to Barichara's cemetery, known for its unique tomb designs, and an art workshop to learn about an ancient artistic technique.

We will visit the Salto del Mico viewpoint and, on our way back to the main park, will pause for coffee and browse two craft stores to engage with local art.

After a two-and-a-half-hour adventure, the guided tour of Barichara concludes at the starting point.
