Experience awe-inspiring landscapes and rich history on a hiking adventure along the Camino Real toward the town of Guane, tracing paths used by indigenous communities and Spanish settlers.
Description
We'll meet at the selected time at Barichara's main park and proceed to the entrance of Móncora Biopark, where our Camino Real hiking journey begins.
The historic trail consists of an 8-kilometer (5-mile) downhill path leading to the town of Guane. Along the way, participants will appreciate native trees lining the Camino Real de Tobares, a significant route for indigenous communities and later Spanish colonists.
After the initial segment, we'll visit a pottery workshop to learn about an ancestral technique linked to the Guane people. Following this visit, we continue along the Camino Real, enjoying mountain views.
After a 4.5-hour trek, we conclude our adventure at Guane's main park, where we will take a tuk-tuk back to Barichara.
