No visit to Bariloche would be complete without discovering the Nahuel Huapi National Park and a hike to the summit of Bella Vista mountain. This four and a half hour route offers views of the Bosque Andino Patagónico forest, tailored for adventurers.
Bella Vista Mountain Trek
Participants will be collected from their accommodation at the designated time to travel to Nahuel Huapi National Park, covering almost 2 million acres in the provinces of Neuquen and Rio Negro.
Upon arrival, transportation will end at Tambo Baez, the furthest point accessible by vehicle. The trek of 8 km (5 mi) begins on foot, progressing through a coihue tree forest, leading to a high alpine landscape.
The hike lasts approximately four and a half hours, reaching a summit height of 1,645 m (5,400 feet) at Bella Vista mountain. A pause at the top allows for relaxation while enjoying views of Cathedral, Goye, Tres Reyes, and Tronador peaks, alongside Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes. A light meal consisting of a sandwich, piece of fruit, and cereal bar will be provided.
The total duration of the trip is roughly 8 hours, concluding back in Bariloche.
