Bella Vista Mountain Trek

No visit to Bariloche is complete without discovering the Nahuel Huapi National Park and a hike to the summit of Bella Vista mountain. This four and a half hour route offers views of the Bosque Andino Patagónico forest, suitable for adventurers.

Bella Vista Mountain Trek

We will collect you from your accommodation at the specified time and head to Nahuel Huapi National Park, a natural wilderness of almost 2 million acres covering Neuquen and Rio Negro provinces.

Upon arrival at the park, we will park at Tambo Baez, the furthest accessible point by vehicle. We will then hike along a track to Bella Vista mountain.

This 4.5-hour hike will take us through one of Argentina's key natural wilderness areas, walking through a forest of elegant coihue trees native to southern Chile and Argentina, transitioning into a high alpine landscape.

The route spans 8 km (5 mi) and ascends to a height of 1,645 m (5,400 feet) at the summit. At the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of Cathedral, Goye, Tres Reyes, and Tronador peaks. A stop will be made to relax and admire Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, with a chance to recharge with a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a cereal bar.

The trip concludes back in Bariloche after 8 hours.
