Day Trip to Cerro Cathedral

Departure from San Carlos de Bariloche will take place at the indicated time towards Villa Cathedral. The journey lasts approximately 40 minutes, during which the guide will explain activities available in this mountain area of Argentina. Once in Villa Cathedral, you will have four hours of free time to explore the town at your own pace. Cerro Cathedral stands nearby at an elevation of 7670 feet (2338 metres), offering steep peaks and scenic views.

Cerro Cathedral is located within Nahuel Huapi National Park and is renowned as the greatest ski centre in the southern hemisphere. You may take the chairlift (ticket not included) to the mountain peak for panoramic views of the surrounding summits and Lake Gutiérrez. Views of Cerro Tronador and the Chilean Puntiagudo Volcano are also visible from the summit.

Those interested in mountain sports and activities can ski, snowboard, hike, or mountain bike in the area. After enjoying the sights and activities, you will meet in Villa Catedral to return to San Carlos de Bariloche, arriving approximately 4 hours later.
