At the appointed time we'll meet in front of the La Casa del Carnaval to start this free tour of Barranquilla. Off we go!

We'll begin by walking through the area known as Barrio Abajo, the epicenter of Barranquilla's popular culture. We'll explore the colorful houses and discuss the significance of the Carnival, recognized as Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

During the tour, we'll admire the façades of various churches, including the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Queen Mary Cathedral. Other notable sites include the Edgard Rentería baseball stadium and the Customs House building. We will also discuss prominent figures from the city, such as writer Gabriel García Márquez and singers Joe Arroyo and Shakira.

At some stops, we will engage with local artisans, plastic artists, dancers, cooks, and historians, enhancing the experience.

After an hour and a half of sightseeing, we will conclude the free tour of Barranquilla in Plaza de la Paz or a central area of the city.
