We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 6 am and take a minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of the department of Bolivar. The journey lasts just under 2 hours, during which we will enjoy breakfast with fruit, a sandwich, and juice.

Upon arrival in Cartagena, we will explore its colourful monuments and lively atmosphere. This historic city, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, is among the most visited cities in Colombia.

We will visit the neighbourhoods of Bocagrande, Laguito, and Castillo Grande, discussing the differences between the inner and outer bay of Cartagena. Following a visit to the Convent of La Popa, we will have a typical lunch at the restaurant La Mulata.

After lunch, we will ascend to the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas to learn about its history as a defensive fortress, with free time to admire the vaults and browse local crafts and jewellery stalls.

To conclude the day, we will visit the Gold Museum and Bolivar Square, two significant symbols of Cartagena de Indias. We will return to Barranquilla at 5 pm.
