We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 6 am and take a minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of the department of Bolivar. During the journey, which takes just under 2 hours, we'll enjoy breakfast consisting of fruit, a sandwich, and juice.

Arriving in Cartagena, we will explore its colourful monuments and lively lifestyle. This historic city surrounded by the Caribbean Sea is one of the most visited cities in Colombia. We will visit the neighborhoods of Bocagrande, Laguito, and Castillo Grande, and discuss the inner and outer bay of Cartagena. After visiting the Convent of La Popa, we'll have typical lunch at the restaurant La Mulata.

Afterwards, we'll go to the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas and explore the history of this defensive fortress. You will have some free time to admire local crafts and jewellery. To conclude the day, we'll visit the Gold Museum and Bolivar Square, two key symbols of Cartagena de Indias.

We'll return to the hotels in Barranquilla at 5 pm.
