We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 6 am and take a minibus to Cartagena de Indias, the capital of the department of Bolivar. The journey, lasting just under 2 hours, includes breakfast consisting of fruit, a sandwich, and juice.

In Cartagena, we will explore its colourful monuments and vibrant lifestyle. This historic city, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, is one of the most visited cities in Colombia.

Visits will include the neighbourhoods of Bocagrande, Laguito, and Castillo Grande, with discussions on the differences between the inner and outer bay of Cartagena. Following this, we will visit the Convent of La Popa and enjoy a typical lunch at La Mulata restaurant.

Next, we will ascend to the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas to learn about this historic fortress. Participants will have free time to admire the vaults and shop at stalls selling local crafts and jewellery.

To conclude, we will visit the Gold Museum and Bolivar Square, key symbols of Cartagena de Indias. We expect to return to the hotels in Barranquilla by 5 pm.
