Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at 5:30 am and depart for the western part of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta.

During our visit, we will explore the mouth of the Sevilla River and observe exotic birds that inhabit the Magdalena region, including the largest community of cormorants in Colombia.

We may also spot the endangered Northern screamer, which plays a critical role in maintaining the ecosystem of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta. You will experience the biodiversity of this area alongside the unique mangrove landscape and the natural beauty of the river estuary.

After enjoying a traditional meal, we will return to Barranquilla, arriving back at your hotel by 3:30 pm.
