Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at the indicated time and head east by minibus to Santa Marta, with a journey lasting approximately 2 hours. Breakfast served on board will include a sandwich and juice. Upon arrival in Santa Marta, we will visit the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, where Simón Bolívar spent his last days, touring its gardens and rooms.

Next, we'll visit the Taganga viewpoint for views of Samaria Bay and the surrounding mountains. Afterward, we'll descend to Santa Marta Bay to begin a tour of the old town, learning about its history and customs while strolling through vibrant streets. We will visit the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Marta, the oldest cathedral in South America, followed by the Tairona Gold Museum located in the Casa de la Aduana to learn about the region's indigenous and colonial heritage.

At midday, we'll dine at a local restaurant featuring traditional Colombian dishes. After lunch, we will explore the Rodadero area. To conclude the tour, we’ll take you to the beaches of Bello Horizonte for 2 hours of free time to relax and sunbathe.

Finally, we'll return to the minibus and head back to your hotel in Barranquilla, arriving 12 hours later.
