Santa Marta Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Barranquilla at 8 am and head east by minibus to Santa Marta, one of the oldest cities in the Americas. After about two hours of driving, we'll go on a panoramic tour to explore its historic streets. We'll visit the hacienda Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino and see the “El Pibe” Valderrama Monument. We will discuss the significance of this renowned soccer player during the tour.

Next, we'll stop at the Taganga viewpoint for views of the port of Santa Marta and its bay. Our exploration continues in the old town as we discuss its history and customs. Finally, we'll return to the minibus and head back to your hotel in Barranquilla, arriving at 3 pm.

At the time of booking, you can choose the option that includes lunch. If selected, we'll pick you up at your hotel at 6 am, and after visiting the historic center of Santa Marta, we will have a typical meal at a local restaurant featuring cojinoa fish, coconut rice, patacones, and salad.
