Discover the Colombian town of Usiacurí, famous for its healing waters and the poet Julio Flórez, on this excursion from Barranquilla. You'll also visit the town of Galapa!

Usiacurí Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Barranquilla at 9 am and head south towards the department of Atlántico.

After a half-hour drive, we'll stop in the small town of Galapa, where we’ll see artisans handcrafting Barranquilla's Carnival masks.

Next, we’ll continue to Usiacurí, surrounded by lush hills. There, we’ll take a guided tour of its historic center, exploring its colorful streets.

During the tour, we’ll learn about the poet Julio Flórez, known for his attraction to the medicinal waters of this area. We’ll visit the house-museum where he died in 1923.

Before our departure, we'll stop by the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and the iraca palm handicraft shops, offering you the chance to purchase souvenirs.

We’ll conclude the excursion with a return to your hotel in Barranquilla, with an expected drop-off around 2 pm.
