Discover the Colombian town of Usiacurí, famous for its healing waters and the poet Julio Flórez, on this excursion from Barranquilla. You'll also visit the town of Galapa!

Usiacurí Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Barranquilla at 9 am and head towards the south of the department of Atlántico.

After a half-hour drive, we'll stop in the small town of Galapa, where we’ll observe how artisans handcraft Barranquilla's Carnival masks.

Next, we’ll continue to Usiacurí, where we'll take a guided tour of its historic center and explore its colorful streets.

During the tour, we'll learn about the poet Julio Flórez, who lived in Usiacurí due to its medicinal waters. We will visit the house-museum where he died in 1923.

Before leaving, we'll pass by the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and the iraca palm handicraft shops for souvenir opportunities.

We will conclude the excursion by returning to your hotel in Barranquilla, with drop-off around 2 pm.
