Los Manantiales Refuge Private Trip
We will pick you up at your hotel in Barreal at 10 am before driving in an all-terrain jeep to the foothills of the Andean mountain range which separates Argentina and Chile.
First, we will visit the mountain pass that General José de San Martín crossed on January 17, 1817, marking the beginning of the campaign for the independence of Peru, Chile, and Argentina. After this, we will continue the route through Las Hornillas.
We will drive in the 4x4 vehicle through rivers, over mountain passes, and along rocky roads. Eventually, we arrive at Los Manantiales, a refuge situated at 11,000 feet above sea level. From this point, we will enjoy views of the entire mountain range.
We will have a picada de campo while enjoying the view from Los Manantiales. After lunch, we will begin our return journey. Along the way, we may spot some local wildlife, including wild horses and condors.
Halfway back, we'll stop for a light snack and finally drop you off at your hotel at 6 pm.
