Los Morillos Reserve Private Trip

At 10 am, we will depart from your hotel in Barreal in a comfortable off-road vehicle and stop in a beautiful Andean area at the foot of the Ansilta Mountain Range.

Located at an altitude of more than 10,000 feet is the Los Morrillos reserve, where we will learn about the nature surrounding us. The staff of the reserve, managed by Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina, will answer questions regarding predominant plants and best-surviving species in these conditions.

Next, we will trek for 45 minutes to the prehistoric caves of Los Morrillos, which house 8500-year-old cave paintings. These works include representations of the sun, animals, and abstract figures, each accompanied by various theories.

After the cave visit, we will return on foot to the starting point where a delicious picnic, featuring a typical Argentinean picada, will be provided. We will then explore other special corners of the Andes before heading back to Barreal.

We will stop for a snack along the way and drop you at your hotel by 6 pm.
