At 10 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Barreal and depart in an all-terrain jeep to the Calingasta Valley, home to the Sierra del Tontal, also known as the foothills of San Juan.

We will follow the tracks of drivers of the Dakar Rally, which occurred in South America from 2009 to 2019, passing through key stages of the race. Next, we will head to the area of the mountain range featuring communication antennas at over 13,000 feet.

During the trip, we will admire the unique landscapes of puna grasslands typical of the Andean altiplano regions. We will visit an old silver deposit exploited during the administration of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento.

Afterward, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch before starting our return journey. Along the route, we will observe other points of the 250 miles of mountains that comprise the Sierra del Tontal. Remember to bring your camera for photos of the majestic peaks, especially during winter when they are snow-covered.

We will take a break for a light snack in nature before concluding the trip. Finally, at 6 pm, we will return to your hotel in Barreal.
