Liamuiga Volcano Hiking Activity

Pickup will be at your hotel in Basseterre at 8 am, followed by a northbound drive to the base of the Liamuiga volcano.

After approximately one hour, we will arrive and embark on a hiking route through the rainforest surrounding the volcano. During the 2-hour 30-minute hike, we will learn about this mountain, which is the highest point on the island of Saint Kitts.

We will observe the variety of fauna and flora and discuss facts about cloud forests and their ecosystems, noting different types of moss, ferns, and flowers.

A picnic lunch consisting of a sandwich and a drink will be provided. Following lunch, we will begin our descent down Mount Liamuiga.

We will return to our vehicle and take you back to your hotel, arriving around 3 pm.
