Catalina Island & Chavon River Day Trip

On this excursion from Bayahibe, we'll discover the great charms of Catalina Island. We'll snorkel and explore the Chavón River, film location of the famous movie Apocalypse Now.

Catalina Island & Chavon River Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in the morning, we'll board a sailing catamaran to Catalina Island. The journey will take about 40 minutes while admiring the Caribbean Sea.

Upon arrival, we'll head to the coral reef known as La Pared, where you'll enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea and snorkel among marine life for 40 minutes. After this, we'll anchor at the dock on Catalina Island.

You'll be taken to a restaurant with sea views for a buffet lunch. Following lunch, you'll have two and a half hours of free time to enjoy the white sand beaches. You may choose to relax or engage in activities like paddle surfing.

Next, on the catamaran, we'll explore the Chavón River, known for scenes from Rambo II and King Kong, offering stunning natural scenery.

Finally, we'll return along the coastline, observing luxurious villas, and conclude the excursion by returning to the port to drop you off at your accommodation.

The excursion includes pickup at hotels located between Bayahíbe and Dominicus. A supplement applies for pickups outside these areas, such as Juan Dolio, Boca Chica, or Gran Bahia La Romana.
