Catalina Island & Chavon River Day Trip

On this excursion from Bayahibe, we will discover the charms of Catalina Island and explore the Chavón River, known for being a film location for the movie Apocalypse Now.

Catalina Island & Chavon River Day Trip

The day begins with a morning hotel pickup, followed by boarding a sailing catamaran for a 40-minute journey to Catalina Island, enjoying views of the Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival, we will go to the coral reef called La Pared for 40 minutes of snorkeling among marine life. After snorkeling, the catamaran will drop anchor at Catalina Island.

You will enjoy a buffet lunch at a restaurant with sea views and have two and a half hours of free time to relax on the white sand beaches or try activities like paddle surfing. Following this, we will explore the Chavón River, the filming location for scenes from Rambo II and King Kong, before returning to the port and dropping you off at your accommodation.

The excursion includes pickup at hotels located between Bayahibe and Dominicus. A supplement applies for pickups outside these areas, such as Juan Dolio, Boca Chica, or Gran Bahia La Romana.
