Tour Details

Day 1

At the designated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in João Pessoa to begin our journey through the Caatinga biome, unique to Brazil, featuring whitish vegetation and native flora and fauna. After a 112-mile (180-kilometer) drive, we'll stop at the Archeological Complex of Pedra do Altar in Barra de Santana for a 0.9-mile (1.5-kilometer) hike to the Paraíba River.

We'll visit archeological sites of the Tapuia indigenous people and see calderas, natural pools, and waterfalls. Lunch will be at the complex’s restaurant, followed by a visit to Lajedo do Marinho to admire rock formations and sunset views. We'll camp overnight in tents under a starry sky.

Day 2

Day two begins with breakfast before a 3.1-mile (5-kilometer) hike along the Trilha de Antonio Conselheiro, passing landmarks such as Lajedo dos Esquecidos and Trono de Deus. After the hike, we’ll pause for lunch before returning to João Pessoa, arriving at your hotel around 6:30 p.m.

Accommodation Info

This tour includes an overnight stay at a campsite, where you’ll sleep in a tent with mattresses and bedding provided. The campsite offers bathrooms, electricity, internet, refrigerators, and hammocks for comfort.
