San Juan Festival: Day Trip to Campina Grande

On this day trip to Campina Grande, you'll celebrate San Juan, one of the important festivities in northern Brazil at Povo Park.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in João Pessoa to head to Campina Grande, known for the largest San Juan celebrations in northeastern Brazil.

After a 1.5-hour journey, we'll arrive at Povo Park, where a themed bus will take us to the festival area. A guide dressed as a traditional character, the matuto, will share anecdotes about local culture during the ride.

Onboard, we'll enjoy traditional forró pé de serra music, played with accordion, zabumba, and triangle, and learn about typical songs and customs from the northeast.

You'll also have the chance to taste cachacinhas de Paraíba, a typical drink, along with traditional seasonal snacks such as popcorn and canjica.

Finally, we'll reach the lively streets of Campina Grande, where San Juan is celebrated. You'll have 5 hours of free time to enjoy festivities, dancing, and the quadrilhas juninas show, along with the festival's themed areas.

After the gathering, we'll drop you off at your hotel in João Pessoa, concluding the trip 8 hours after pickup.
