Beiteddine Palace and Deir Al Qamar Tour
Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Beirut at 11 am. We will board a comfortable minibus and set out towards Mount Lebanon, where the charming village of Deir el Qamar lies in wait. Let's embark on this exploration!
Upon our arrival, a walking tour will guide us through this picturesque Lebanese village. Interestingly, it served as the capital of Mount Lebanon until the 19th century. As we wander its cobblestone streets, we will unveil the intriguing history behind this town, historically referred to as the "Monastery of the Moon".
During our time in Deir el Qamar, we will take a moment to admire Al-Midan square, the Fahr El-Dine Maan Mosque, the Emir Younes Maan Palace, and the Fakhreddine II Palace. The town's vibrant culture is a notable feature, showcasing the harmonious coexistence of mosques, synagogues, and churches along its avenues.
Following our exploration, we will visit a local restaurant to savor a traditional Lebanese meal. Once we've had our fill, we will make our way back to the minibus and continue to the renowned Beiteddine Palace, often referred to as the "Alhambra of Lebanon".
At this historic site, which was constructed in the 19th century by Emir Bashir II as his official residence, we will delve into its architectural beauty. Our exploration will include the grand Midan, the entry courtyard that greets all visitors, along with various rooms within the palace, like the Madafa, Dar al Wusta, Dar al Harim, and the Beiteddine hammam.
As our day comes to a close, we will return to Beirut, concluding the tour at your hotel around 5 pm, filled with lasting memories and stunning photographs.
