Byblos, Batroun and Nabu Museum Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Beirut starting from 8:30 am. The tour begins with a visit to the Nabu Museum in Chekka, about an hour's drive away, featuring artifacts from the Bronze and Iron Ages and contemporary artworks from Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and the region.
Next, we will explore the coastal town of Batroun, a significant Phoenician city from 3000 - 64 BC. The visit includes the Batroun harbour and Batroun souk, where we will see the Phoenician wall, sculpted into the beach rocks over 2,000 years ago.
Lunch will be served at a traditional Lebanese restaurant, allowing you to sample local cuisine before heading to Byblos.
Byblos is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities. You will visit the castle and have free time to explore the medieval quarter, including the old souks, medieval ramparts, and notable churches. Key sites include the 19th-century souk, Saint Stephan Cathedral, Lady of the Sea Chapel, the old Phoenician fort, the ancient Roman theater, and the Roman stadium carved in the rocks of MrahEl Cheikh.
After a full day of exploration, we will return to Beirut by 5:30 pm, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
