On this excursion to Tripoli from Beirut, we'll visit the citadel of Saint-Gilles, relax in a traditional hammam, and have a fish dish in a seaside restaurant.
Tripoli Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Beirut and drive north along the Mediterranean.
After a 2-hour drive, we'll arrive in Tripoli, one of the oldest cities in Lebanon. Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour of the citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles, a major defensive complex influenced by its capture by the Ottomans in the 19th century.
Next, we'll tour the souks of Tripoli, where we will discover popular Lebanese products. We will then stop at the Al-Abd baths, notable for being one of the oldest hammams in Lebanon.
At this thermal center, you'll relax for about an hour to invigorate your body and mind. Following this, we'll head to the port of Tripoli, where we will enjoy a traditional Lebanese fish dish at a restaurant overlooking the sea.
After lunch, we will travel south to the nearby town of Batroun, making a brief stop to admire its ancient Phoenician walls and learn about its history.
Finally, we'll return to Beirut, with arrival at your hotel scheduled for 7 hours after pickup.
