Bélesta Vineyards Hiking Activity

  • 3 Stunden

Walk through a beautiful wine-growing region in south-western France on our Bélesta vineyards hiking activity. You'll discover the origin of one of the Occitanie region's most prestigious French wines.

Bélesta Vineyards Hiking Activity

At 9 am, we'll meet you at the Domaine Riberach winery and set off on our hiking route in Bélesta.

During our hike, we'll stroll through local vineyards and discover which grape varieties grow on the vines. You'll see how the slopes in this part of the Ariège department in the Occitanie region are home to centuries-old vines, representing the labour of numerous winegrowers.

As we walk through the vineyards, we'll learn about the history behind them and discuss the different stages of wine production. Each stage requires its own technique, handed down from generation to generation, enabling winegrowers to achieve a unique and high-quality product.

We'll finish our tour by returning to Domaine Riberach, where we'll visit the winery and taste different wines. During our tasting, we'll learn to differentiate between the various aromas and tones the wines leave on our palates.

Our wine tasting experience will conclude between 11:30 am and 12 noon.
