If you're visiting Belgrade and you're not sure where to start, this free tour is the best way to discover the Serbian capital. We'll visit its main attractions, such as the Fortress, St. Michael's Cathedral, and Republic Square.
Description
Meet us at Republic Square at the indicated time to join our free tour of Belgrade. We will unveil the secrets of this square, seeing the façade of the Theatre and the National Museum of Serbia, and discover the history of the Prince Mihailo Monument.
We will continue into the bohemian quarter of Skadarlija, known for its taverns and national gastronomy. The tour will also include the Museum of the Serbian Language, located in the oldest residential house in the city.
Nearby is the Bajrakli Mosque, which houses the tomb of Sheikh Mustafa, where we will learn about Turkish rule in Belgrade. We will then proceed to Kalemegdan Park, to see the Pobednik Column.
Next, we will explore the Belgrade Fortress, located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Finally, we will visit St. Michael's Cathedral and stroll along Knez Mihailo Street, ending the 2 to 3-hour tour in Students' Park.
