Be captivated by the wonders of eastern Serbia on this day trip to the Golubac Fortress, Danube Gorge and Iron Gates. A unique experience from Belgrade!

Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Belgrade before setting off for the impressive Danube Valley.

After a 2-hour drive along the Danube, we'll arrive at the Golubac Fortress, a medieval stronghold built on cliffs. From a distance, we'll see its towers and from the top of one of these towers, you'll get the best views of the area: an aerial view of the Iron Gates of the Danube and its surroundings.

Afterward, we'll stop at the eco-ethnological complex Kapetan Mišin Breg, from where we'll see a breathtaking view of the Djerdap Gorge, the borderline between eastern Serbia and Romania.

Then, we'll give you free time for lunch at local restaurants. Afterward, we'll enjoy a 1-hour boat ride through the Iron Gates Gorge.

Following the boat ride, we'll see the Tabula Traiana, a Roman plaque commemorating Emperor Trajan's road through the gorge.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel, arriving 12 hours later.

This tour includes pickup from hotels located no more than 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Republic Square in Belgrade. If you're staying outside this radius, we'll meet you at the scheduled time at Students' Square.
