Red Belgrade Communist Tour
We will meet at Nikola Paši? Square at the scheduled time and then start our walking tour through Belgrade. Our first stop will be at Republic Square, the birthplace of Communist Yugoslavia, where Josip Broz Tito delivered a revolutionary speech before the proclamation of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1945. We will stroll through the streets of Belgrade to admire the unique mix of architectural styles, including socialist edifices and monuments from the Yugoslavian Kingdom.
Next, we will stop at Terazije Square to share stories of glamorous holidays and celebrities at the Hotel Moskva. At the former square of Marx and Engels, we will view the Trade Union Hall and visit Pioneer's Park.
We will catch a trolley, a main transport mode for Belgrade residents, to the elite district of Dedinje, known for its embassies and the Museum of Yugoslavia complex, featuring Tito as a key figure.
Lastly, we will visit the mausoleum, or the House of Flowers, where Tito is buried. We will review his career and the final days of the Republic of Yugoslavia.
The tour will conclude after 4 hours of historical storytelling and sightseeing in Serbia's capital.
