Ticket to Belmonte Castle
Located on the hill of San Cristobal, Belmonte Castle is one of the most important fortresses of the province of Cuenca.
This ticket allows you to download an audio guide in English on your mobile phone, providing commentary on the various parts of this 15th-century bastion.
Through the audio guide, you'll learn about the history of Belmonte Castle, including the 19th-century reforms promoted by Eugénie de Montijo, heiress of the fortress.
Your ticket includes access to the Patio de Armas and the walled enclosure, with options to climb one of the watchtowers for panoramic views. The ticket also grants access to the outbuildings, such as the empress' bedroom, dais, and armoury room featuring a collection of medieval armour.

The opening times of Belmonte Castle are as follows:
From February 27 to April 21: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm. Regular hours apply on March 25 and April 1.From April 23 to September 22: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 2 pm and 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm; Mondays in August, open 10 am to 2:30 pm and 4 pm to 8:30 pm.June 22 and 29, and July 13 and 20: open 10 am to 2 pm, closed in the evening.From September 24 to January 6, 2025: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 2 pm and 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.From January 7 to March 4, 2025: Tuesday to Friday, 11 am to 2 pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm and 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Final admission is 45 minutes before closing time. Hours are subject to change.
Special Times
Easter Week: castle open from 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm.
On December 24, castle open from 10 am to 2 pm, closed from December 25 until January 1.
