Castellón de la Plana Day Trip

At 9:25 am we'll meet outside the Benicassim Tourist Office to get our tour underway. We'll board the minibus and in just 15 minutes we'll reach our destination: Castellón de la Plana.

We'll arrive at the Grao de Castellón where we'll be able to see the fishing port. We'll learn more about the seafaring traditions of Castellón de la Plana and while we walk around the marina we'll also talk about how this area has evolved in recent decades.

After that, we'll head towards the Museum of Fine Arts, whose architectural style has earned it several awards. In its exhibition rooms we'll see different sculptures, Valencian ceramics, and several paintings from Zurbarán's workshop.

Afterwards, we'll start the tour around the historic centre of Castellón de la Plana. We'll visit the Mercado de los Lunes (market), where we'll see the co-cathedral of Santa María la Mayor, the bell tower El Fadrí, the theatre, the Central Market and more.

We'll finish the tour at 1:30 pm by arriving back at Benicassim.
