St. Joseph's Caves Trip

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Benicassim Tourist Office. From there, we will travel 50 kilometers by minibus to Vall de Uxó, home of the St. Joseph's Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The visit begins by boat, cruising 800 meters down the underground river. Look for paintings on the rocks and fossils which indicate that the caves were inhabited over 15,000 years ago.

We will continue on foot through a 250-meter dry section of the caves, observing the stalactites and stalagmites. The caves maintain a temperature of 20ºC throughout the year.

After 40 minutes inside the caves, we will return to the minibus and conclude our 4-hour and 45-minute tour back in Benicassim.
