Discover the secrets of olive oil and visit two villages on the Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Guided Tour. The tour begins at 8:45 am at the Benicassim Tourist Office, where we will board a bus to Traiguera. Here, we will visit a thousand-year-old olive grove and learn about the production of olive oil in the Valencia region.

While walking through the orchards, we will see the Sinfo Olive Tree, noted as one of Europe's oldest, awarded in 2018 for the best monumental olive tree. Guests will learn about cultivation methods and participate in an olive oil tasting paired with typical cold meats.

After the tasting, we will travel to Cervera del Maestre and visit the Oil Mill Visitor Centre to explore regional traditions associated with olive cultivation. Following this, we will spend approximately 1 hour touring Cervera del Maestre, known for its medieval castle, a fortress of Arab origin that served to defend against Christian advances during the Reconquest.

The tour concludes at the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud in Traiguera, an Asset of Cultural Interest and the only site with 'Royal' classification in Castellón. Here, we will discuss its historical origins linked to Charles V and examine the site's various elements before returning to the meeting point between 2:15 pm and 2:45 pm.
