Caminhos de Pedra Tour
At 9 am, we will meet at Rua Duque de Caxias in Bento Gonçalves to begin our tour of the Caminhos de Pedra. Join us to discover the origin of the name.
This route is an open-air museum that presents the history of Italian immigration in Brazil. Throughout the tour, we will learn about the integration of Italian culture with local traditions, focusing on cattle raising and vineyard cultivation.
Our first stop will be at the Parque da Ovelha, where we will learn about sheep care. Next, we will visit the Cantina Strapazzon, established in the late 19th century, to explore the region's winemaking heritage. This site also served as the backdrop for several films, including the 1995 Brazilian film O Quatrilho.
We will conclude the tour with a visit to Casa Bertarello, a stone house that accommodated the first immigrants to the area.
We will then return by bus to Bento Gonçalves, arriving at approximately 1 pm.
