Caminhos de Pedra Tour
At 9 am, we will meet at Rua Duque de Caxias in Bento Gonçalves to start the tour. The route is an outdoor museum showcasing the history of Italian immigration in Brazil, highlighting the integration of Italian culture with local customs in cattle raising and vineyard cultivation.
We will visit the Parque da Ovelha, learning about sheep care, and our next stop will be at Cantina Strapazzon, established in the late 19th century, where we will discover the region's winemaking tradition. Notably, this location has served as a filming site for various movies, including the 1995 Brazilian film O Quatrilho.
The excursion will conclude with a visit to Casa Bertarello, a stone house that provided lodging for the first immigrants in the area. We will then return by bus to Bento Gonçalves, arriving at the starting point around 1 pm.
