Do you want to learn about the traditions of the Brazilian wine capital? On this activity, we'll take a ride on the famous Maria Fumaça train and take part in the grape harvest at a wine estate.

Maria Fumaça Train + Vineyard Harvest Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the train station to start this experience and immerse ourselves in the customs of Bento Gonçalves, known as the Brazilian wine capital.

The tour begins with a ride on the Maria Fumaça train, also known as the wine train. On this historic railroad, we'll journey through the landscapes of the Serra Gaucha, passing through scenic villages such as Carlos Barbosa and Garibaldi, while tasting wines, champagnes, and grape juices of the region. The stops will be enlivened with live music shows.

Our next destination will be the Epopeia Italiana theme park, where we'll learn about the traditions left by Italian immigrants. Afterward, we'll head to a family-owned wine estate where we will join in the grape harvest, picking grapes directly from the vines, and tread the grapes, an inherited method of juice extraction.

After the experience at the wine estate, we'll enjoy a traditional Italian appetizer called merendim, accompanied by traditional music.

The experience will conclude as we return to Bento Gonçalves station, arriving at around 4 pm.
