Tour Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Bento Gonçalves at the designated time to start this tour of the Rota dos Espumantes, where we'll learn about the history of champagne in Brazil.

The tour highlights the story of Italian immigrant Manoel Peterlongo, who made the first Brazilian sparkling wine in 1913 using the natural fermentation process. The Rota dos Espumantes features 17 wineries, and we'll visit two notable ones. Our first stop will be the Devorata Chocolate Truffle Shop, known for its unique truffles made with sparkling wine.

Next, we’ll head to Peterlongo Winery, the only winery in Brazil allowed to use the word "champagne" on its labels, featuring a castle-like architecture and an impressive 10,000-square-meter underground wine cellar where we’ll enjoy a tasting session. We will return to Devorata for more truffles.

Our final stop will be at Vinícola Garibaldi, a cooperative with over 90 years of history, where we will learn about their sparkling wines before returning to Bento Gonçalves.

The tour will conclude at your hotel after 4 hours.
