We'll pick you up at your hotel in Bento Gonçalves at the designated time to start this tour of the Rota dos Espumantes, where we'll learn about the history of champagne in Brazil.

It all started when the Italian immigrant Manoel Peterlong decided to make his favorite drink from his time in Europe in 1913, following the natural fermentation process used by French Dom Pérignon to create the first Brazilian sparkling wine or 'espumante'.

The Rota dos Espumantes includes 17 wineries, and we’ll visit two of the most renowned. We’ll first stop at the Devorata Chocolate Truffle Shop, famous for its truffles made with sparkling wine.

Next, we’ll head to Peterlongo Winery, a pioneer in Brazilian sparkling wine and the only winery authorized to use the word "champagne" on its labels. We’ll explore its 10,000-square-meter underground wine cellar and enjoy a tasting session. Then, we will revisit the Devorata shop for more signature truffles.

Our last stop will be at Vinícola Garibaldi, a co-op with over 90 years of history and more than 430 families dedicated to grape production, to learn about their sparkling wines before returning to Bento Gonçalves.

We'll finish the tour at your hotel after 4 hours.
