Gorica Hill Hiking Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet in front of the Mangalemi Hotel in Berat to start this Gorica hill hiking route. We'll reconnect with nature as we explore the inland region of Albania and climb Gorica hill.

First, we'll leave behind the historic centre of Berat and enter the fields surrounding the so-called city of a thousand windows.

As we climb, we'll enjoy panoramic views of Berat - cameras at the ready! From the hill, you'll be able to take in the entirety of the neighbourhood on the opposite bank of the river, Mangalem.

This region is famous for its stone houses. From this location, we'll see its architecture full of typical rectangular windows. We'll continue our route through fields of flowers and vines to the highest part of Gorica hill until we reach the top!

We'll pause for a photo break before descending down the opposite side of the hill. From here, we'll have an amazing view of the surrounding valleys, where oil and wine are produced. We'll also pass the Gorica Bridge, one of the symbols of Berat.

We'll end the route, arriving at the meeting point after about six hours.
