Norwegian Fjords: Flåm Train + Nærøy Boat Ride
We will meet at 16 Strandkaienn in Bergen Harbour to start a tour showcasing the Norwegian fjords. Our journey will include narrow valleys, emerald waters, and steep hillsides, immersing us in a World Heritage Site.
We will walk to Bergen Train Station and take the train to Vossevangen. After that, we will take a bus to Gudvangen, located at the end of the Nærøy fjord. Here, we will have a 30-minute guided tour of the Viking village of Njardarheimr, learning about the Viking Age in Norway.
Next, we will enjoy a 2-hour boat ride on the Nærøyfjorden, sailing through mountains over 1,700 meters (5,577 feet) high and numerous waterfalls. We will dock in Flåm and will have between 30 and 55 minutes of free time for lunch and exploration.
Afterward, we will board the Flåm train for a 50-minute journey with views of the Norwegian mountains and a brief stop at Kjosfossen waterfall for photos. Our journey will end at Myrdal Station, where we’ll catch a train back to Bergen, concluding the tour after approximately 10.5 hours.
