On this day trip to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen, we'll visit these two historic sites in Germany in one day, essential if you're in Berlin!

Day Trip to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Brunnen der Völkerfreundschaft fountain in Alexanderplatz. We will board a bus for this excursion from Berlin.

Initially, we'll have a panoramic tour of the most important monuments of Berlin. Following this, we will proceed to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp for a guided tour, focusing on the history of German concentration camps during Nazi rule. The tour includes the courtyards, barracks, and cells, detailing work distribution and punishments inflicted on prisoners.

After Sachsenhausen, we will head to Potsdam, a World Heritage Site. You will have the option of 1.5 hours of free time in the town or joining a guided tour of Sanssouci Palace.

Eventually, we will return to Berlin, reaching our starting point after a total of 7 hours.

Sachsenhausen Day Trip

If you specifically wish to visit the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, this tour option is available.

We’ll depart from central Berlin by bus to Sachsenhausen, where a 2-hour guided tour will provide insight into its history. Key sites include the central courtyard, Tower A, barracks 38 and 39, the kitchen, Tower E, the prison, and the gas chamber.

After the tour, we’ll return to our starting point in Berlin, concluding the experience 4.5 hours later.
