San Juan de Gaztelugatxe Boat Trip

On the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe Boat Trip from Bermeo, you will explore the Basque Coast. Participants will meet at the Puerto Viejo in Bermeo at their chosen time. From there, you'll board the boat for a journey to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe.

During the crossing, you will see the Cape Machichaco cliffs, which feature a lighthouse at 122 meters above sea level. The trip will also include views of Punta Ermuak and the Aquech rock, a headland that is home to cormorants.

As you approach San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, the rocky islet is noted for its legends and a stone bridge connected to a staircase with 241 steps. From the boat, you can view a 10th-century hermitage that has been restored due to past pirate attacks and fires. This location was also used as a filming site for Dragonstone in Game of Thrones.

After taking in the scenery along the rugged Basque Coast, the trip will return to Bermeo, docking at the port approximately 1 hour after departure.
