Embark on an adventure to the stunning shores of Boca del Cielo and Puerto Arista, where the coastal beauty of Chiapas awaits you. This region is renowned for its diverse avian life, making it a remarkable destination for nature enthusiasts.

Boca del Cielo & Puerto Arista Beach Expedition

Our journey begins at 7 am, when we will pick you up from your accommodation in Tuxtla Gutierrez and head towards Puerto Arista, a charming town situated along the Gulf of Tehuantepec.

As we stroll along the expansive beach, you'll discover one of the most significant sea turtle sanctuaries in the Chiapas region. This stunning locale features a captivating mix of golden sands and a diverse array of flora, including key thatch palms, limoncillos, tamarind trees, coconut palms, and water pachiras. Keep an eye out for albatrosses, pelicans, and seagulls gracefully soaring overhead.

Our next destination is the enchanting Boca del Cielo beach. But do you know the reason behind its name, 'the mouth of heaven'? We’ll soon uncover that mystery! A remarkable feature of this area is the La Joya lagoon, which is set apart from the ocean by a narrow strip of land and teems with shrimp and schools of fish. The nearby mangrove swamps also provide a habitat for numerous heron species.

You will enjoy one hour of leisure time here, giving you the opportunity to savor the local culinary delights and take a soothing swim in the ocean. Following our beach day, we will return to your hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez, with an estimated arrival time of 4 pm.
