On this excursion to the beaches of Boca del Cielo and Puerto Arista from Tuxtla Gutierrez, you'll enjoy the most spectacular coastal locations in Chiapas, home to a wide variety of birds.

Boca del Cielo & Puerto Arista Beach Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll collect you from your hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez and set off for Puerto Arista, a coastal town on the Gulf of Tehuantepec.

We'll walk along its large beach, one of the most important sea turtle sanctuaries in Chiapas. This area features a variety of plants including key thatch palm, limoncillos, tamarinds, coconut trees, and water pachiras. You can also spot albatrosses, pelicans, and seagulls in the vicinity.

Our next stop is Boca del Cielo beach, known as the 'mouth of heaven.' Here, one of the highlights is La Joya lagoon, separated from the sea by land and rich in shrimp and schools of fish. The surrounding mangrove swamps host a wide variety of herons.

You will have an hour of free time to try traditional cuisine and relax in the sea. We'll then return to your hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez, arriving at 4 pm.
