Rappelling at Sima del Cielo

We'll pick you up at 7 am at your hotel in Tuxtla Gutiérrez and drive to the town of San Fernando, which is half an hour away.

Upon arrival, breakfast will be provided, including assorted sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, orange juice, and coffee. An instructor will go over safety guidelines before we equip ourselves with helmets, harnesses, and other necessary materials.

A 1-hour hike will take us to the Sima del Cielo, a natural hole standing at 35 meters (115 feet) high with a diameter of 30 meters (98 feet) and a base that spans 100 meters (328 feet) wide.

The rappelling activity will commence here, during which we will learn about the geology of this cave. This unique site in Chiapas is sure to be impressive.

After the rappelling activity, we will return to San Fernando, walking for one hour before driving back to your hotel in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, with an expected arrival time of 4 pm.
