Workshop Details

Meet us at the Highlights in Istanbul Workshops store, where we will begin our Turkish coffee workshop in Istanbul.

During the workshop, we will learn the proper way to prepare Turkish coffee over sand. This method may seem unusual, but you will uncover its secret techniques that lead to a delicious brew. An experienced coffee expert will provide all necessary materials and guide us through the unique process.

One significant tool used is the cezve, a traditional Turkish coffee pot usually made of copper, which allows the coffee grains to boil in the water, essential for making authentic Turkish coffee. Once boiled, the coffee is served and enjoyed.

After a demonstration and a brief overview of the history of Turkish coffee, participants will craft their own cups. You can choose from three distinct types of coffee grains, selecting the aromas that appeal to you, or blend all three for a unique experience.

The workshop concludes with a Turkish coffee tasting of the various brews created. Each participant will receive a coffee set that includes a cezve, cup, coffee grounds, and a Turkish sweet, allowing you to enjoy Turkish coffee at home.
