Getxo + Portugalete Tour

On this tour to Getxo and Portugalete from Bilbao, you'll cross the Bizkaia Suspension Bridge and walk along both banks of the Nervión estuary.

Description

At the designated time, meet at the puppy floral sculpture at the Guggenheim Museum to start our journey north from Bilbao.

Our first destination is the Punta Galea viewpoint, offering views of the Bizkaia coast.

We will explore Getxo along the right bank, starting in the Las Arenas neighborhood, passing the Lezama-Leguizamón Palace, and reaching the Old Port of Algorta.

Next, we will cross the Bizkaia Suspension Bridge from Getxo, using an audio guide to learn about its history.

In Portugalete, located on the left bank of the Nervion estuary, we will briefly explore its streets, including sections of the Camino de Santiago. We will then visit the Hanging Bridge of Bizkaia, a World Heritage Site built in the late 19th century to connect both banks of the estuary.

The return to Bilbao will conclude the adventure, with an estimated arrival at the meeting point four hours after the pickup.
