Explore Iceland's second largest glacier Langjökull on a monster truck tour aboard the colossal Sleipnir truck.

Activity Details

Meet us at the Upper Gullfoss parking lot at the designated time for a bus ride to the adventure start. Prepare for the Langjökull glacier monster truck tour.

Over 4 hours, we will traverse through the highlands on steep trails, admiring the glacier while learning about its features. The Icelandic highlands offer a diverse landscape with wide plains, volcanic formations, and ice fields.

At the halfway point, participants will exit the truck to enjoy the glacier. Depending on the season, a hot drink and an Icelandic music playlist will be provided. We may also experience sledding down the glacier and possibly see a natural ice cave during winter, as this grotto is excluded in summer.

Following the adventure, we will return to the Geldingafell base camp.

Tour Options

The tour varies by season:

Summer tour (from April 16 to October 31): A scenic viewpoint stop offers views of the glacier and a break at the café for hot chocolate, coffee, or tea with a traditional kleinur. Exciting options include sledding or glacier golf.Winter tour (from November 1 to April 15): The itinerary includes visiting a natural ice cave, showcasing crystal-clear ice and layers of volcanic ash.
