Laugarvatn Snorkel & Spa Tour

On this tour, you'll experience the crystal clear blue waters of the Silfra fissure as you dive and snorkel between two continents. Then you will relax at the Laugarvatn Fontana spa.

Tour Details

We will meet at Thingvellir National Park, where the Silfra Fissure is located. The tour includes an introduction to the basic techniques of snorkelling to ensure a safe experience. The fissure sits at the separation point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, allowing you to dive between two continents. You will view the canyon walls up close.

As you snorkel through the waters, you will reach the widest section of the rift, called Silfra Hall, followed by the Silfra Cathedral. The snorkelling will conclude at the Blue Lagoon, the shallowest part of the Silfra rift.

After 35 minutes of snorkelling, you will return to dry land to warm up with hot chocolate and biscuits. Next, you will drive to the Laugarvatn Fontana spa, where you can enjoy the geothermal baths and the benefits of the natural waters. The spa offers various features, including natural pools, steam baths, and ice lakes.

The tour ends 5 hours later at the Laugarvatn spa, but you are welcome to stay as long as you wish.
