Laugarvatn Snorkel & Spa Tour

On this tour, you'll experience the crystal clear blue waters of the Silfra fissure as you dive and snorkel between two continents. Afterward, relaxation awaits at the Laugarvatn Fontana spa.

Tour Details

We'll begin at Thingvellir National Park, home to the Silfra Fissure. You'll receive instructions on basic snorkelling techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The fissure sits at the boundary of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, allowing you to swim between two continents and observe the canyon walls.

During the snorkelling, you'll swim to the widest point, Silfra Hall, and proceed to the Silfra Cathedral, a notable section of the fissure. The snorkelling wraps up at the Blue Lagoon, the shallowest area of the Silfra rift.

After 35 minutes of snorkelling, you'll return to shore and enjoy hot chocolate and biscuits before heading to the Laugarvatn Fontana spa by car. At the spa, you can relax in geothermal baths and take advantage of natural pools, steam baths, and ice lakes.

The tour concludes at the Laugarvatn spa 5 hours later, but you're welcome to stay at the spa for as long as you wish.
