Laugarvatn Snorkel & Spa Tour

On this tour, you'll experience the crystal clear blue waters of the Silfra fissure as you dive and snorkel between two continents and then relax at the Laugarvatn Fontana spa.

Tour Details

We'll meet at Thingvellir National Park, home to the Silfra Fissure. After a walk to the fissure, you'll learn the basic techniques of snorkelling to safely enjoy the activity. The fissure marks the separation of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, allowing you to dive between two continents and view the canyon walls up close.

While swimming, you'll explore the widest part of the rift, known as Silfra Hall, and proceed to the Silfra Cathedral, concluding the snorkelling at the Blue Lagoon, the shallowest section.

After 35 minutes of snorkelling, we'll return to dry land to enjoy hot chocolate and biscuits before heading to the relaxing Laugarvatn Fontana spa.

To reach the spa, transportation by car is required. At the spa, you can unwind in the geothermal baths and benefit from the natural waters, which include pools, steam baths, and ice lakes. The tour lasts 5 hours, but you may stay at the spa for as long as you wish.
