Explore the southern coast of the dreamy island of Saona with this excursion from Boca Chica. A paradise full of native flora and fauna and mangroves awaits!

Description

Between 7 and 9 am, pickup will occur at your hotel in Boca Chica. The tour proceeds to Bayahíbe, where a boat will take you to Cotubanamá National Park. A brief stop will be made at Palmilla beach, surrounded by coconut trees and fine sand.

The tour continues to Saona Island, within Cotubanamá National Park, also known as Parque Nacional del Este. You'll visit Playa La Caleta and Playa Mano Juan, both known for their crystalline natural pools.

Lunch will be provided, consisting of a traditional meal by the sea, including rice, meat, salad, pasta, and a non-alcoholic beverage.

After lunch, you'll walk through the town of Mano Juan to see the traditional colorful houses and visit the sea turtle conservation center, learning about care protocols for hatchlings. Between August and September, you might see newborn turtles.

The next stop is Los Flamencos beach for a swim and birdwatching. A boat ride through the mangrove areas follows, where you can jump off to see starfish with care.

The day concludes with a cocktail with Dominican rum. You'll then return to Bayahíbe, with arrival at your hotel in Boca Chica scheduled between 5 and 6:30 pm.
