Are you ready for an exciting sightseeing adventure in the Bodø region? Join us for a boat expedition around Kjerringøy and Nordfjord and immerse yourself in stunning maritime landscapes!
Tour Overview
We'll convene at the designated time located at the rear of the Quality Hotel Ramsalt, where our journey will commence with a cruise through Bodø. Our goal is to discover the scenic beaches of Hovdsundet and Mjelle.
As we glide past these breathtaking shores, the adventure will take us into the Nordfjorden fjord. Although it seems quite narrow, this fjord ranks as the sixth-longest in Norway, extending 106 kilometers (65 miles). This magnificent waterway is pristine and rests within the area of Sjunkhatten National Park.
During the cruise, our experienced guides will share fascinating insights about the surrounding area. You'll find numerous chances to capture incredible photographs of the picturesque landscapes typical of northern Norway. Remember to bring your camera!
Next, we will visit the historic Kjerringøy Handelsted, a trading post dating back to the 18th century (established in the late 1700s) that boasts a vibrant and rich history. Here, you will enjoy 1.5 hours of leisure time to explore the open-air museum, which consists of 15 distinct buildings, delving into the rich heritage of this impressive site.
After a comprehensive adventure lasting between 5 and 6 hours, we will return to Bodø. We hope to see you again soon! Til neste gang!
