Join us on this hiking route through Boca da Onca to see the highest waterfall in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Limestone gorges, natural pools, and native forests will mark our journey.
Boca da Onca Hiking Tour
At the agreed time, we will meet at Rodovia Bodoquena. From there, we will begin a moderate difficulty hiking route of 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles) to the famous Boca da Onca waterfall, which measures 156 metres (511 feet).
We will trek through the Brazilian native forest, breathing fresh air and immersing ourselves in nature. Along the way, we will see another eight waterfalls and will make stops to rest. Participants can take a refreshing dip in the Salobra River and in the natural pools we encounter.
We will explain the formation of the Boca da Onca waterfall, visit the river beach, and discuss the dedication of this natural monument's name to a jaguar.
After five hours of walking, we will conclude the hike at the starting point, where there are various rest areas, a swimming pool, a bar, and a small museum. We look forward to seeing you!
