Embark on a captivating day trip into the heart of a Colombian coffee plantation from Bogotá, where you will actively participate in the process of coffee harvesting, culminating in a flavorful cup of coffee!

Coffee Farm Excursion from Bogotá

Your adventure begins with a meeting at The Cranky Croc Hostel, where we will board a bus destined for the Bogotá mountains. During the journey, take in the picturesque scenery of the Choachí district, leading us to a charming organic coffee farm. After approximately an hour and a half on the road, we will reach the plantation, where the local farmers will share insights into their daily routines and the coffee bean harvesting process.

Once settled, be ready to enjoy a traditional Colombian breakfast prepared by the farmers. After refueling, we will dive into the task at hand, assisting the farmers in harvesting ripe coffee beans from the farm’s extensive collection of over 8,000 coffee plants. Following our hands-on experience, we’ll discover the next stage of production as we process the beans through machinery for cleaning and selection, ultimately leading to a delightful tasting of a freshly brewed cup of coffee!

Before we return to Bogotá, we will pause to relish a homemade lunch. After this enriching experience, we will return to the city, with drop-off at the original meeting point occurring within 8.5 to 9 hours.
