Visit to a Coffee Farm Near Bogotá

Your adventure commences at the designated meeting point, The Cranky Croc Hostel, where we'll board a bus heading into the mountains surrounding Bogotá. Throughout the journey, enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Choachí district as we make our way to our destination: a charming organic coffee farm. After approximately one and a half hours on the bus, we’ll arrive at the plantation, where the dedicated farmers will share insights into their daily routines and the methods employed for harvesting the coffee beans.

Following this introduction, we will savor a traditional Colombian breakfast prepared by the farmers, setting the stage for our hands-on experience. Together with the farmers, we’ll actively harvest ripe coffee beans from among the 8,000 coffee plants flourishing on the farm. Next, we’ll engage in the subsequent stages of the process, operating machines to clean and sort the beans before indulging in a delicious cup of coffee that highlights the fruits of our labor.

As the day comes to a close, we will retrace our steps back to the city, concluding a fulfilling 7-hour experience with drop-off at our original meeting point.
