Colombian Fruit Tour
The adventure begins with a walk from the Mercado de Paloquemao, entrance 10. We will take public transport to reach the capital's fruit market while discussing Colombia's culinary traditions and the role of tropical fruits in its gastronomy.
At the market, we'll stroll and learn about various tropical fruit varieties in Colombia. We will taste granadilla, experiencing its sweet pulp covering the seeds. We will also sample the zapote, which, despite its rough skin, reveals refreshing orange flesh inside.
Our exploration will include visiting the passion fruit stall, where we will experience its varied flavors and learn about its historical aphrodisiac claims. We'll also stop by a soursop stall, peeling it to discover its mild-flavored, whitish flesh that contrasts with its tough exterior.
Before returning to the starting point, we will enjoy a refreshing fruit juice to conclude the tour.
