On this guided tour of Monserrate, you'll explore one of Bogota's emblematic spots, known for its impressive views and rich cultural and religious history.

Tour Details

We will meet at the ticket office of the Monserrate cable car to begin our tour. From there, we'll take the cable car to the mountain's summit, where you'll experience spectacular views of the city.

At the summit, we will visit the Basilica of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate and discuss its significance as an important pilgrimage destination and its attraction for tourists worldwide. You'll learn about Catholic traditions and customs in Colombia.

While touring the mountain, we will stop at the main viewpoints, allowing you to admire Bogota from various angles at an elevation of 3152 metres (10341 feet). This height facilitates an overview of the city's expanse and its outskirts.

We will also visit the wishing well, where you can toss a coin and make a wish at the feet of the Virgin of Monserrate.

We will conclude our hour-and-a-half-long tour by returning to our starting point.
