Embark on a guided excursion to Monserrate, a renowned landmark in Bogota that offers a unique combination of breathtaking views and a deep cultural and religious significance.

Tour Overview

We will convene at the cable car ticket office at the scheduled time to commence our tour of this historic site in Bogota. From here, we will board the cable car to ascend the mountain, conditions permitting, where an awe-inspiring panorama of the city awaits us.

Upon reaching the summit, our first stop will be the Basilica of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate. Here, we will delve into the history that transformed this site into a significant pilgrimage destination, drawing visitors from around the globe. Additionally, you will gain insight into the Catholic traditions that enrich daily life in Colombia.

As we traverse the mountain, we will pause at various scenic viewpoints, allowing you to take in the magnificent vistas of Bogota from an elevation of 3152 meters (10341 feet). This height not only provides a stunning view of the sprawling city but also showcases the surrounding areas.

We will also visit the wishing well, where you can toss a coin and make a wish at the feet of the Virgin of Monserrate. This charming tradition is an experience not to be overlooked!

Finally, we will conclude this hour-and-a-half journey by returning to our original meeting point.
