On this guided tour of Monserrate, you will explore a significant site in Bogota known for its cultural and religious history.
Tour Details
We will meet at the ticket office of the Monserrate cable car to begin the guided tour. From there, we will take the cable car to the mountain's summit, depending on availability, where you can enjoy stunning views of the city.
At the top, we will visit the Basilica of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate and discuss its importance as a pilgrimage destination. You will learn about the Catholic traditions in Colombia.
As we walk around, we will stop at various main viewpoints at an altitude of 3152 metres (10341 feet), allowing you to observe the city and its outskirts.
We will also visit the wishing well where you can throw a coin and make a wish at the Virgin of Monserrate.
The tour lasts for an hour and a half, after which we will return to the initial starting point.
